I recently needed to stock up on my skin care products that I use and Superdrug is the cheapest place to get Simple products, especially when they have offers! However, a few other things slipped into my basket (when don’t they) so I thought I’d share with you what I got and my first impressions of them.
I mentioned all of these products in my Skincare Routine and how I use them, so give that a read if you’re interested. I got some more Cleanser (£1.59), Toner (£1.59), Facial Scrub (£1.95), Moisturiser (£2.05), Toning Cleanser (£2.39) and Make-Up Remover (£2.19).
These are repurchases so I already know that I love them. If you want to know how I use them read my skincare routine, linked above.
This has been my go to eye liner for years now and I mentioned it in my Everyday Summer Makeup post. I use the shade ‘Black Glamour’ and it’s perfect for creating a perfect fine wing close to the lash line, that can also be built up a little thicker if you want. It has good staying power too but isn’t waterproof.
I’ve seen lots of colour correction concealers recently, especially from Collection, but instead of trying the individual ones which I think are like £4.19?? each, I thought i’d try this palette instead, to see what I think of them before getting the correction sticks.
I have been loving this since using it. I’ve found that the green shade is my favourite for colour correcting redness, and do like the powder to set it in place, but it can be a bit drying when my skin isn’t very moisturised.
Superdrug Hand Cream 2 in 1 (£1.49)
I love this! It’s not sticky which is something I hate in a hand cream, and I have found that it has had a difference in the speed of my nails growing which is great!
I am yet to use this yet, but will update you all when I have… hoping it makes a difference to my horrendous split ends!
This is very standard and I only picked this one as it was the cheapest on the shelf haha! It does the job and leaves my legs nice a smooth.. always nice hhaa!
I’ve only ever tried one setting spray before and it was awful! It left little white spots all over my face and ruined my makeup, it was powdery and ew I just don’t even have words.. whereas this, is my new favourite thing! It gives my base the most amazing finish and makes my makeup last so much longer! I’ve particularly noticed that it stops my eyeshadow creasing after long wear.
I do really like this, but you have to be very careful when applying it, as it can easily look too heavy.
e.l.f. Instant Lift Brow Pencil (£3.00)
This has been my go to brow product when i’m in a rush or don’t have anywhere particular to be like work. It’s good and very easy to use!
Makeup Revolution Ultra 32-Shade Palette (£8.00 each)
To be honest I was initially a little dissapointed with how small each shadow was. Not all of the shades are very true to the colour they look, but despite this they are really nice, I think I prefer the shimmer palette rather than the matte. I think they could be a little more pigmented, especially the matte shades.
Gosh The Ultimate Eyeliner (£6.49)
I love this! I decided to get it in ‘raw grey’ rather than black, as being very pale sometimes really dark eye make up looks ridiculous on me. The staying power is great, and I love the smudger on the end!
Sleek Highlighter Palette (£9.99)
Now let me tell you.. if you want pigmented insane highlight, this is it! I havn’t used the cream one much, but the others a beautiful.. a little goes a long way!
L’Oreal Miss Baby Roll Mascara (£7.99)
This is such a cool wand, and so far I’ve liked it, although i’ve found it more lengthening than voluminous.
This is a good quality brush, but i’ve found it slightly too big for liner or brows, so havn’t used it much unfortunately.
So that’s it! Let me know if you like any of these or if there’s anything you think I should try in Superdrug!
